WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC) congratulates Congress members-elect Dan Koh (MA-06) and Pia Dandiya (FL-22) on their historic elections to Congress.

Pia Dandiya is the first Indian American woman elected to represent Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, which Trump won by 10.5 points in 2024. Dan Koh made history as the first Korean American elected to represent Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District and the state of Massachusetts in Congress.

“Tonight’s victories send a clear message: voters across the political spectrum are fed up with Donald Trump’s chaos and cruelty and are ready for leaders who will lower costs, root out corruption, and put working families ahead of special interests. Dan Koh and Pia Dandiya are exactly the kind of thoughtful, dedicated public servants our country needs. ASPIRE is proud to have supported their campaigns and helped ensure they had the resources they needed to win. Their victories are historic milestones for AANHPI representation and proof that strong, diverse candidates can win in districts across the country,” said ASPIRE PAC Chair Marilyn Strickland.

This cycle, ASPIRE PAC raised over $2 million to mobilize Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) voters and support AANHPI incumbents and congressional candidates.

About ASPIRE PAC: Founded in 2011 and chaired by Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, ASPIRE PAC is the political arm of the Democratic Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Members of Congress.

ASPIRE PAC is committed to supporting candidates of AANHPI descent and incumbents who represent large communities of AANHPI voters. In the 2024 cycle they helped elect four new AANHPI Democrats to Congress.
